Berkeley: OIGC’s 9th Annual Black History Month Celebration

Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir: returns to the legendary Freight & Salvage for its 9th Annual Black History Month Celebration. A history lesson through song, OIGC presents a variety of music, from traditional to contemporary gospel, and performs Negro spirituals with an authenticity not often found outside of the South. About Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir:
Founded in 1986, by Terrance Kelly, the mission of OIGC is to inspire joy & unity among all people through Black gospel & spiritual music traditions. OIGC weaves together a diverse group of 300+ singers across multiple choirs with the Gospel, Youth, Community, and Kids Choirs. The summer of 2022 saw the acquisition of the Oakland Youth Chorus’ 3 ensembles from second grade through high school.
