Jim Hampton

I was born and raised in the Bay Area – Oakland to be exact and lived there until I started high school. At that point we moved to South Lake Tahoe – talk about culture shock!

I remember wanting to work in radio when I was in elementary school and after graduating high school, I met a couple of local disc jockeys who taught me what I needed to know and helped me get my first job. I’ve been in radio ever since, with the exception of 4 years when I was in the U.S. Coast Guard.

I am married and have 3 awesome daughters – twins who live in Nashville and another who is in San Diego.
