Glass Animals at Shoreline

Glass Animals brought the “Heat Waves” to Mountain View on a Wednesday night and we craved for more! Glass Animals recently released their fourth studio album “I Love You So F***ing Much” and frontman Dave Bayley gave an intimate performance for a large venue. He kept walking down the steps because he wanted to feel closer with the audience and even made his way to the lawn when he sang “Gooey”. Glass Animals is a band you move to and everyone was up on their feet dancing, feeling the energy that Dave was giving off.

Glass Animals shared a moment with their fan recalling the first time they played in San Francisco, which was at Rickshaw Shop and now they have blasted off to stardom playing at Shoreline. It’s amazing to see the growth of a band expand across the globe and their music feels like it’s from another planet gracing us with its impressive fusion of alternative pyschedelic funk. The overall atmosphere was celestial. Dave stood on a platform, which rose him as if he was an astronaut and he got to see colorful phone lights that looked like stars as he was singing “Lost in the Ocean”.

It was a sea of people echoing songs back to their maestro Dave and he loved every second of it. Glass Animals promised they’ll be back to the Bay Area sooner than six years. We hope they keep their word and for that we say— thank you so f***king much Glass Animals for being in our existence.
